Experience

My name is Bjorn D. Fox, and I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University; and a M.A. in Engineering Management from California State University, East Bay. I am a tutor and educator with 4 years of experience. I have taught math and chemistry at a private school. Before going to graduate school, I worked as an undergraduate math tutor with Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement (MESA) at San Francisco State University.

My teaching experience spans 6 - 12 grades, including subjects as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Chemistry. I have worked with students Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), for students with neurodivergence.  My teaching style involves an inquiry based approach where the student’s curiosity is encouraged. My goal is to be a guide for students learning as well as looking at the world in different ways.
