Experience

My name is Lupe Torres and I have a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University and an M.A. in Leadership from Saint Mary’s College. I'm currently a math and psychology teacher working at an accredited private middle and high school that teaches online. I have over 21 years of experience in the field of education. I have worked in private schools for the past 10 years, public schools for 10 years, and in non-profit education for 8 years. I have taught and tutored students from 6th grade through high school, and up to college. I’ve worked in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and at the community college. I am fluent in Spanish. I love making the math concepts accessible to students and by showing them visually appealing and accessible concepts. My goal is to help them progress towards feeling empowered around math and demonstrate mastery.
