Experience

My name is Xuannga “Sonia,” a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. After retiring from the industries, I am currently a full-time math and science teacher at a private college prep school in Albany, CA where I have worked for more than 3 years. I can provide support with homework, online homework, studying for a test, understanding a difficult concept, help with projects, and prepare for AP, SAT, and ACT tests.

Prior to my teaching profession, I had worked for various national and international environmental consulting firms and the Electric Power Research Institute. In my role as Manager, Principal, and Regional Director, I had trained numerous staff (chemists, engineers, environmental professionals, and toxicologists - up to PhD levels) to perform comprehensive risk assessments for the protection of public health and the environment.  During my professional career, I tutored my son, who graduated from Acalanes High School in Lafayette, CA and U.C. Berkeley with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (Honors).
